An online vegan restaurant guide is opening

An online vegan restaurant guide will be opening on 25th of September 2022. The website lists only restaurants that serve vegan dishes.

It seems the website is available only in Japanese. It’s user interface doesn’t look very nice and the messages on the page are a bit strange, so I personally don’t expect much but anyway let’s wait and see.

Toray, a Japanese chemical product maker, began selling their brand-new mountain parka on the crowdfunding platform Makuake. The feature of the product is its vegan leather; Toray is famous for R&D such as heat-tech, the high-tech warm cloth invented with UNIQLO. The vegan leather called Chimaera Skin still is under development but it is said to have longer life than ordinary synthetic leather. It is waterproof but very thin: only 0.3 mm thick.

It’s product launch is scheduled for next Spring and only 250 pieces are available on the crowdfunding platform.
